Hi all,
I am booting my iMac 21.5 retina on a Samsung T3 portable SSD. When i check the disk info using the Disk utility, it is saying it is not SSD and also it do not support SMART. I have install the Samsung Activation Pack but still not working.
Do anyone has experience on this ? Thanks

I have a iMac late 2015, El Capitan 10.11.5 and I use SoftRAID for my OWC Raid. The SoftRAID program find the Samsung T3, and list that the SMART status as passed test median life remaining 100%. The Apple disk utility list the drive correctly also with the S.M.A.R.T status: verified.
It seems that the driver for the T3 is a build with debug information. When I run the system profiler the storage and usb status return 'There was an error while gathering this information' - looking in the system log i get the following details.

However, i have not had issues with the drive that is just awesomely fast.
I see this same error in the system log, but unfortunately, I do have an issue. After I eject the drive and put my 2015 retina MacBook Pro to sleep, and come back some time later and plug in the SSD again, it's no longer recognized and I have to reboot. Perhaps I have to leave the drive plugged in as much as possible, but that's inconvenient.
I can you please tell what you did to have the samsung t3 working?
It is possible to wipe from the ssd all samsung software after installing?
And how to clean the kernel deamon from the mac?
